Scripture Saturday - Psalm 30:1-5

As I was reading my Word this week I came across a verse that helped me through some hard times. I pray that it will give you some comfort as well.

Psalm 30:1-5

I will exalt you, O LORD,
for you lifted me out of the depths
and did not let my enemies gloat over me.

O LORD my God, I called to you for help
and you healed me.

O LORD, you brought me up from the grave;
you spared me from going down into the pit.

Sing to the LORD, you saints of his;
praise his holy name.

For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may remain for a night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning.

If God has placed a scripture on your heart please post it by clicking on the comments link.

God Bless

Psalm 25

"1 To you, O Lord, I life up my soul.
2 I trust in you, my God! Do not let me be disgraced or let my enemies rejoice in my defeat.
3 No one who trusts in you will ever be disgraced, but disgrace come to whose who try to deceive others.
4 Show me the path where I should walk O Lord; point out the right road for me to follow.
5 Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you.
6 Remember, O Lord, your unfailing love and compassion, which you have shown from long ages past.
7 Forgive the rebellious sins of my youth; look instead through the eyes of your unfailing love, for you are merciful, O Lord.
8 The Lord is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray.
9 He leads the humble in what is right; teaching them his way.
10 The Lord leads with unfailing love and faithfulness all those who keep his covenant and obey his decrees.
11 For the honor of your name O Lord, forgive my many sins.
12 Who are those who fear the Lord? He will show them the path they should choose.
13 They will live in prosperity, and their children will inherit the Promised Land.
14 Friendship with the Lord is reserved for those who fear him. With them he shares the secrets of his covenant.
15 My eyes are always looking to the Lord for help, for he alone can rescue me from the traps of my enemies.
16 Turn to me and have mercy on me, for I am alone and in deep distress.
17 My problems go from bad to worse. Oh, save me from them all!
18 Feel my pain and see my trouble. Forgive all my sins.
19 See how many enemies I have, and how viciously they hate me!
20 Protect me! Rescue my life from them! Do not let e be disgrace, for I trust in you.
21 May integrity and honesty protect me for I put my hope in you.
22 O God, ransom Israel from all its troubles."
[New Living Translation]

May God minister to you through his word, to bless, change, uplift and restore your soul, and then make you a blessing to many.

I had two scriptures that I wanted to post last week, one of which I see was posted by anonymous (me!)last week, so I'll try to post the other one as myself (Dawn!) this week. It spoke to me particularly when I review this site and find that I can relate to so many of the testimonies and the sharing of experiences, scriptures etc., that the site makes possible!

"We are all one body, we have the same Spirit and we have all been called to the same glorious future. There is only one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and there is only one God and Father who is over us all and in us all and living through us all."
-Ephesians 4:4-6,(Daily Application Study Bible)

"The Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you."
-2 Chronicles 16:9 (Daily Application Study Bible)

I use the devotional guide "Our Daily Bread", and this was the chosen passage this past Wednesday. I have actually experienced this, although not the "forsaking part" so I know it's true, and I thought it would be a perfect scripture to share this "Scripture Saturday"!

This is the scripture that "came" to me this week:

"We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed and broken"
-2 Corinthians 4:8

Too bad we often forget this when we're in the midst of tough times!

Two scriptures "presented" themselves to me today,so I'll share both of them, because they are both so encouraging, in my opinion!
I use the Daily Application Study Bible for my daily devotionals.

"Since Christ lives within you, even though your body will die because of sin, your spirit is alive because you have been made right with God"
-Romans 8:10

"If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away;behold, all things have become new."
-2 Corinthians:17

Happy New Year everyone!
