Blessings Everyone:
The theme of our sermon today was the body, and reverend Lott emphasized a few points about the body that apply (or should) to our lives as Christians.
We are all members of one another or like members of the same family, since we all rely on the same blood for our existence. Just as different body parts don't have individual circulatory systems because we are one body, we all have the same blood running through us pumped by the heart. Also, Christians are part of God's /Jesus' body.He cited many scripture passages to illustrate this, namely Romans 12:5 " ,so it is with with Christ's body. We are all parts of his one body, and each one of us has different work to do. And since we we are all one body in Christ, we belong to each other, and each of us needs all the others." He pointed out that since no one knows who we need for God's plan, we must not exclude, criticize or avoid someone based on their looks or station in life. As examples he used the case of Jefferey Dalmer, and that of a slipped alchoholic, and suggested that we should forgive anyone ALL their sins. After all he said that the church should have no selection commitee.

Another point he made was that we are all bound in the same body, just as ligaments, bones, etc. are. 1 Corinthians 12: 26 states "If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it, and if one part is honoured, all the parts are glad." Therefore he said that if one member of our Christian body or circle wins, everyone wins, so we should support one another rather than judge or criticize them.
All in all it was a very uplifting and positive service, and I thank God that Andrew and Natasha have made it possible to try to share it to the best of my ability with my fellow B.G.O.ers!
