Testimony Thursday

I know I am a little late. If God was good to you this week give Him praise.

****Hey Dawn I found a Godtube video of the song you were talking about****

Hello fellow B.G.O.ers:

I am in fact alive and well but have been very distracted and busy. I'd lost track of time, so I didn't realize that it had been so long since I'd posted on B.G.O. I's had an exhausting day yesterday, and on my way home I heard a song that made me think of Natasha and Andrew because I had planned to share it with them "many moons ago". When I got home there was a message from them on my answering machine. This experience qualifies as wht my friend and I refer to as a "doo, doo, doo" moment! The sound we make is like the theme of a science-fiction movie, meaning that the experience was supernatural! Today I'll share the lyrics of the song with you as if it were Testimony Thursday still:
I saw God Today
by George Straight

just walked down the street to the coffee shop
had to take a break
I'd been by her side for eighteen hours straight
I saw a flower growing in the middle of the sidewalk
pushing up through the concrete
like it was planted right there for me to see
the flashing lights, the honkin' horns all seemed to fade away
in the shadow of that hospital at 5:08
I saw God today.

Chorus:
I've been to church
I've read the book
I know He'd here, but I don't look
near as often as I should
Yeah, I know I know I should
His fingerprints are everywhere
I'd just slow down to stop and stare
opened my eyes and man I swear
I saw God today.

I saw a couple walking by they were holding hands
Man she had that glow
yeah I couldn't help but notice she was staarting to show
I stood there for a minute takin' in the sky
lost in that sunset
a splash of amber melted in the shades of red.

Chorus

I got my face pressed up against the nursery glass
She's sleeping like a rock
My name is on her wrist wearing tiny pink socks
She's got my eyes, she's got her mama's eyes
My brand new baby girl
She's a miracle
I saw God today.

I definitely saw God yesterday, and I've seen him again today as He showed me what and how to share with everyone today. I was telling Natasha yesterday how I've been involved in a play with the local community living association, meaning that I've been struggling to learn my lines for it. This morning it crossed my mind that in the early days, Christians didn't have personal copies of the Bible, so they had to memorize God's Word in order to spread His Good News. Not only that but He faithfully provide the strength, desire and abilty for them to do so! Isn't our God awesome and aren't we lucky He chose to bless us in the multitude of creative ways He shows Himself to us?!
I/we just sometimes need to make ourselves slow down to take a look!Just taking the time to post this has blessed me enormously, and I pray that it had you as well!
Blessings to you all.

Andrew:
You have blessed me so incredibly by finding that video and sending it to me, that I would like to bless others as well by sharing it with them. I haven't been able to figure out how to accomplish this however, so could I trouble you further by requesting some instruction please?
Thanks, Dawn

Hey Dawn,

No problem. I love how we can use the internet to share ideas and experiences. If you want to share the video why don't you tell them to check out this site. Otherwise go to Godtube.com and do a search using the song title and artist name together. That's what I did. Oh, see if this link works.. you might have to copy and paste it into the address bar.

Hey Dawn,

I figured out how to email the video. At the very end of the video you can click on the share video option and put your info in.

You can still tell your friends about the website ;)
