Talk Tuesday - Trust like a child

The other day I went to dinner with my family. We were having such a great time with my niece. She was all over the place, having fun and making lots of noise. Tash made a comment that it would be nice to be care free like my niece-no worries and full of hope and joy. Then God spoke to my heart. I told Tash my niece doesn't worry about anything because she trusts that her parents will provide for her every need. She knows that her parents will give her food, shelter and love. That is how we should be with our heavenly Father. We have to believe that we serve a good God and that He will provide for our every need. My niece doesn't worry about her next meal because she knows that her parents will have something for her to eat. Why do we worry? God is our heavenly Father...

“Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” Luke 11:11-13

Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest? Luke 12:22-26

We have to trust God like a child trusts their parents. Are you worrying about something today? Your future? Your children? Your job? Put your faith in Jesus. Like a good parent, He will never disappointment you. He will always be there for you. Lay your troubles at the foot of the Cross and trust Him like a child.

God's decisions are the best decisions. Even though we may be hurt or disappointed at the time, God is forever faithful and let His name forever be praised. I live and pray because He deemed it so. And yes, it's hard. We cry out sometimes - a lot of the times - but later I can see what He was doing. Prise His Holy Name!

I just felt so incredibly blessed by this post because it seems like a confirmation of some of my thoughts on the subject. I have often worried that thinking this way was somehow naive and/or irresponsible. I thank God for speaking to me about this matter through Andrew! I have been too physically sick this week to check the site, and this is what I read the first time I feel well enough to check it!
Thanks and Hallelujah

Thank you Andrew! My daughter has been secretly dating a guy who has two children, ages one and four with a girl he lived with for 6 years. Thid is a nightmare for any parent especially when the guy doesen't even know the Lord. The baggage that guy has to bring to the relationship is insurmountable. I am praying and fasting and I was in the process of writing my daughter on the issue when halfway through the letter, my computer crashed. When I did get it on again Talk Tuesday faced me and as I read I wept in thanksgiving to God for the message He gave me at such a crucial time. I needed to be reminded that when I cry out to the Lord I ought to trust like a child. GOD IS FAIGHFUL INDEED"
Thank you once again and God blesss you and Natasha

I stand amazed to see how when we TRUST GOD like a child the clouds of dis-pair,depression and dis-appointments just dis-appear like a vapour and turn into something beautiful. God embraces those who pray like a child "INNOCENTLY".
God Bless.

GOD IS GOOD!! Yes, people, I meant to put that in CAPS! This past week I had to trust GOD in the midst of a very painful situation. HE worked it out! He brought deliverance and healing. GOD IS GOOD!

Trust Him! Now, it's easy for me to say now that everything has worked itself out but at the beginning my first words were, "Why Lord, Why?" Then I started crying, having a hissy fit and finally I rested on GOD and decided to trust Him. After all my shananigans what other choice did I really have?

HE IS FAITHFUL! ROCK ON JESUS! YOU DA BOMB!
