Movie Monday - Cardboard Testimonies

We are starting a new series on growing and what better way to begin the series than with a video of creative testimonies from a baptism. There is nothing as amazing as seeing lives changed for Christ. Share with us what you experienced at your baptism. I hope this touches you as much as it ministered to me.

Great video! It reminds of how vast the love of God is ... extending to each person, and very specific to each person. My baptism was special because I had absolutely no doubt that I was doing what God wanted me to ... I had fears in the past of how it would look to my family to get baptized again since it had already been done when I was a baby. But God set me free from all those fears and with my baptism it was a declaration that I was on a totally new journey in Christ.

My baptism was amazing. When I came up from the water I felt God shine on me. People said that I was glowing. God is so good.

I still remember the exact day! My baptism was THE MOST beautiful thing I ever experienced. After I came up out of the water, (which was Huge because I had never submerged my head voluntarily - ever) - it was like LOVE itself came down and hugged me!!! I had had a similar experience at the moment of my conversion - when I committed myself to Jesus - but this was deeper and more intense.

I remember I had to walk up out of the baptismal tank when it happened, and my legs were all wobbly :).

It really was wonderful to give my testimony in front of my family (who came!?) and church.

I decided to get baptized during the worst trial of my life to date, back then. I loved Jesus so much, with all my heart and decided that although my life looked dim and I was confused by what was going on around me, I would stand in obedience to Him and declare He is ALL I NEED! May God be praised. As I watched this video, I could barely control the tears as I realized how much He loves us. Why, Lord, do you love us so? I am thankful to you Jesus, Lover of our souls!
