So after chickening out all these years, I finally took a chance and wrote my friend who had the stroke, he's been feeling so down these last few months, so I wrote him an email and told him about Jesus. I really was on pins & needles for a few days (no reply). I wasn't sure what his response would be, or if I would alienate him altogether.
God is Goood!!! He is so awesome and great and you can count on Him!
My friend called and said he appreciated my email and words of encouragement. He didn't mention Jesus specifically, or God, but he thanked me. :) I know that the Blessed Holy Spirit is working in his heart! And I will continue to pray in faith for his salvation. I know that when he comes to know the Lord, that he will find the peace that he seeks.
Thank you to the BGO community for your prayers. I love that even though this is a virtual community, it really is a great support group.
ps Mitchell's declared bankruptcy? Anyone know of any good Christian bookstores? I know of a tiny one on Main Street Unionville but it's mostly gifts...JJ & Jude's...
