This is a topic that I can never read or learn enough about. I have Joyce's book, Battlefield of the Mind. Some of my favourites from it are, "Complain and remain, or praise and be raised," from the chapter on Wilderness Mentalities. The Lord often reminds me through the Word, and memories from Joyce's book, that complaining really displeases Him. We should be thankful in all things. I thank God for His mercy towards us in this area ... our modern culture seems to make complaining seem acceptable as a form of conversation, so it is even more of a fight to resist the temptation! But we can do all things through Christ who can enable us to do His will.
Thanks for posting this video ... I was only able to watch the first part, but hopefully will be able to look at the rest soon. It is interesting to note from Joyce that she herself still struggles in this area sometimes... although she is an expert on the topic!It shows that no matter how willing our spirits are, our flesh is often so weak.
