Talk Tuesday- God works for the good of those who love Him.


I was reading through some of the scriptures that our Pastor gave us to memorize and found myself re-reading Romans 8:28. It says...

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a]have been called according to his purpose."

As I meditated on this I realized that there was a promise there that we should hold on to. No matter what happens the scripture reminds us that, " in all things God works for the good of those who love Him."  Read that again, and again.  What ever trial we are going through God is working for our good.  I know this may be hard for you to believe.  You might say, "...but you don't know what I am going through." No I don't, but I know God and I know His Word is true.  If He says that He is working for our good, He is.  Personally I have gone through quite a trial of my own and my wife is going through her own, but we hold on to this promise.  If you can't see the purpose of what you are going through trust God.  I have grown so much spiritually from this trial Tash and I have had to endure.  I have seen my wife grow as well.   I would not wish this trial on anyone but God's wisdom is beyond man's wisdom.  His ways are not like our ways.   Whatever you are going through trust Him that in all things He is working for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to his purpose.

I was ministered to from the depths of my very soul by your post, "God works for the good of those who love Him." Today, I have garnered such a blessed assurance from your post, that this promise of God is so very true. I have watched you both, Andrew and Natasha, and noted your deep and abiding faith in Jesus Christ, even in the throes of agony from curved balls sent your way. You have held on and continue to press in, with faith in Jesus Christ. From your testimony as a 'couple in Christ,' I continue to be encouraged, as I hold on to God's promises and faithfulness to those take Him at His Word. Yes, 'all things come together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose." God's Word is TRUE!
Thanks for the testimony and may God continue bless and keep you both.

This made me think of a poem I just read, "The Sad Baseball Frog" -- http://www.fangraphs.com/not/index.php/poem-the-sad-baseball-frog/ -- by Dayn Perry in which uses symbolic metatext and imagery to bring the doubting subject (who thinks himself a frog, with an idiots face, ect.) back to Christ, his purpose.

Whatever trial we endure, God has to 'allow it." Job was a man of God to the very core,yet God allowed Satan to test him to the limits, but Job held on and pressed into God's sovereignty with unwavering faith. When the times of trial were over, the blessings poured into Job's life with such tremendous overflow from God that we must stand in awe of God's faithfulness.
When the cross of trials come our way (and they will), it is good to hang on, in faith to the Word of God, 'that all things come together for our good.' Like Job, the crown at the end of the cross always dulls the memory of the agony experienced. So I receive(in faith), God's overflow that is bound to come my way at the end of this 'trial' that I know God is working out for my good and the good of those (in the same trial)who love Him.

Romans 8:28. I myself drove around this verse a few times but never took the time to stop and measure the true value of its meaning and see it fade away in my rearview mirror. Nevertheless, in my opinion, God works for the good of all of us because He is a kind, loving, and compassionate God. I also believe that God goes the extra mile and extends His hand as He promised and works for the good of all those who love Him unconditionally.
Great and mighty things He has in store for you as you continue to work for Him.
Blessed Assurance Jesus is mine and yours too. Give Him Praise!

Romans 8:28 Indeed this passage is powerful and exhorting too, the comment also. It means that God is in control of all circumstances (positives or negatives) and manage them. I am relieved to know that. Knowing that there is NO FATALITY!!
