Talk Tuesday-Dark Before the Morning

In the search for a clip for Movie Monday I came across the video for the song, ”Before the Morning” by Josh Wilson. There is an amazing testimony by the father of the boy who the song is written about.  The father is told that the boy will not live past four days from his birth. If you do anything today, look at the video I posted for Movie Monday.

The song talks about the ‘dark before the morning’ or the ‘hurt before the healing’. As I looked at the video tears began to run down my face as I recalled what Tash and I had to go through the last two years. I remembered trying to be strong when the doctor told us the news that she had to do surgery. Then when we were told that we had to do it a second time in less than a year, I was more than upset. That was definitely the 'dark before the morning'.

Maybe you are going through something right now and you can’t even think about the morning, but God WILL take you through this. God IS faithful. The song also has a line in it that says, ‘life is not a snapshot.’ If I believed that our future was dependant on the snapshot after the 2nd surgery or even the first, I would not have the hope I have now. God has done an awesome thing in my life and in my wife’s life that might not have happened any other way. God has allowed us to bless people we would not have ever met if it wasn’t for this storm. So you might be going through a storm now but hold on for this is the ‘dark before the morning.’

"...weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning." Psalm 30:5

If you are going through a difficult time and need prayer, let us pray for you. Please feel free to post your requests on this month's Prayer Wall, here in the comments section or you can email us at joinus@biblegrouponline.com

Thank you for encouraging me TODAY!!!. In this Christian walk it is important to remember that "Iron sharpens iron" and we are not the only ones going through. As I wipe my tears, climb out of bed, I too must hold on to the Word with everything I have. For God has seven thousand prophets in reserve who would not bow down to Baal. So as I stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. I know, that I know, that my Redeemer LIVES!!!!! Both of you continue to be a blessing to the nations. Love Isha

Very inspiring post. Some time ago, I promised a testimony. I can see a relation to the encouraging words posted today. Five months ago, as a result of the troubled global economy, the company where I worked gave me a severance package. As my boss explained the dire situation to me with a downcast expression, somehow, I did not feel worried, anxious or even disappointed. The Holy Spirit was in full control, as I looked at my boss and said that I had been reading from the book of Job that very morning. I pointed out that although Job lost all that he had, he declared "Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him..." (Job 13:15 KJV). This was a big step for me, for my boss (ex-boss)is an adherent of eastern type religious beliefs, and speaks often about stars, zen, etc. I was pleased to see that she listened attentively, and we did have a healthy exchange. I have prayed for her, and I know that she will become a believer.

Although it was inconvenient to be unemployed, I knew that my God was in full control of the situation. At one point though, after an unsuccessful interview, I admitted that I knew He was in control, but I felt disenchanted at not being chosen for a position I was well-qualified for. I do know though, that God does everyting in His own timing. I have not only been offered a new position, but it is even better than I could ever imagine. Quite rightly, Job 42:10 (KJV) states that "...the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before." Joy does indeed come in the morning.

Importantly, during my trial I kept far away from persons who I knew would utter negative comments, although perhaps they would have perceived them to be well-meaning, such as "Haven't you got a job yet?" or even "Any news about work?" During Job's trial, he was inundated by comments that accused him of wrongdoing, insinuating that he was being punished for sin he committed, which was far from the truth.

During our trials, we need to look to the Author and Finisher of our faith, for all answers, guidance and relief. After all, God says quite clearly in Isaiah 60:22 (KJV) "I the Lord will hasten it in his time."

Be blessed!

Isha, we will lift you up in prayer to our Father in Heaven! As I read your comment this morning, I was moved by the reminder that indeed, God has seven thousand prophets in reserve who would not bow down to Baal. Thank you Jesus that we can hold each other up in prayer and spur one another on towards the finish line! We will celebrate together as we see the salvation of the LORD! Powerful stuff.

Ephesians 6:13 "Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand."

Blessed, we humbly thank you for sharing such a powerful testimony! Wow, I stand amazed yet again, in utter awe of GOD. HE IS FAITHFUL. Wow! We just have to hold on to Him. You aptly remind us to fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. Thank you, once again, for your transparency.

As the days seem to grow dark, we can hear a familiar rumbling, knowing that we must look up in expectation, knowing that our redemption draweth nigh.

Revelations 22:12-17
12"Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. 13I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

14"Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. 15Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

16"I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star."

17The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.

Thank you for this post! Thank you Natasha and Andrew for persevering in your own trials and showing us that we can come out on the other side of successive trials with our faith not only INTACT, but STRONGER.

Thanks Isha for reminding us about the supernatural protection that GOD provides for us in our battles ... in ABUNDANCE ... we so often forget!! Thanks for the inspiring videos as well. Man tends to speak doom, gloom and death, but God speaks and breathes LIFE into any situation He is involved in!

Thank you Blessed for sharing your testimony and reminding me about the importance of how I ask questions ... that could be negative and discouraging.

Thanks all of you!

I was just listening to some data that promoted such hoplessness for the world in which we live. Then I turned to Bible Group online, and Natasha and Andrew, Isha and blessed just blessed me so tremendouisly. You have demonstrated what the world needs to know - OUR REDEEMER LIVES! Yes, weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning. God is faithful - there is NONE like YOU, O LORD!
