I have of late, been inundated with many painful physical ailments and problems. I would think I had it bad, and then it would get worse - and worse - and worse. God has pressed it upon me that I need to be grateful for what I do have, and what IS going well in my life + to praise Him at all times. It's been easy when things are going well, but I am ungrateful, bitter + scornful when I am experiencing pain, or going through rough times. I just could not get past the 'why me' and my own expectations for stress-free living.

Can you pray for me? I am praying for physical healing, and His strength to get through this darker time in my life. God is sending a message. I think I've learned / am learning..Thank you.

God bless you too.

Anonymous,

Please know that we are praying for you! God is able to keep us from falling. It is hard going through difficult times in our lives. I have found it helpful to think about Jesus' suffering as I have suffered in the past. It puts some of it into perspective. The Lord is refining us through the fire, making us more into His image and likeness spiritually. One scripture I have repeated throughout my season of suffering is, "The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" Psalm 34:18. Cry out to Him and He will remain close to you. We will continue to pray for your physical healing.

On Friday I tragically lost a family member to suicide. I am trying to come to grips with the fact he no longer will be here on this earth. Please pray for his soul. Many people hold different beliefs such as it is a sin to take one's own life and hold judgement. I refuse to believe God would punish someone who is suffering to the point that they think that it's the only option. Truly, I believe one is trying to rid of the pain, not their life. I'm hurting. Please pray for John and his family. Thanks for listening.

Anonymous,

I just finished praying for you and your family. God is merciful. As I prayed, these two verses came to mind:

"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted" Matthew 5:4

"The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" Psalm 34:18

May the Lord Jesus Christ comfort you and your family, John's family, in an amazing way. Andrew and I will continue to lift you all up to the Lord.

In His service,
